Spanish sizing - What you need to know

Spanish sizing - What you need to know

Fallen in love with some of our gorgeous Spanish baby and childrenswear?

Fantastic news!

Before you go ahead and order, we just want to give you a heads up…

Our Spanish ranges to tend to run quite small – very often between one and two sizes smaller than the UK equivalent.

For example, typically a three-month child would fit 9-12 months in the Spanish clothes on our site.

Dresses are not only smaller but also shorter in length.

The Spanish favour this look with pretty matching pants, so you will note many dresses come as a set with pants.

As a rule of thumb, our knitted ranges are usually more of an average size.

Where we believe outfits are small to size we will note this in the individual description, so please refer to the product description before purchase.

Just a small handful of our stylish Spanish wear:

The majority of our rompers stop at age nine months. By that time most babies are walking, so they move over to pyjamas – and we do have some rather lovely ones to choose from!

Just to keep you on your toes, the European sizing is also different to what we are used in the UK. You’ll see single month sizes – 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and so on. Again, we recommend you move up one to two sizes, especially if you want an outfit to last – babies grow fast!

Here’s a quick reference guide to some of the brands:

Fruit De Ma Passion OK, but some run very small - please refer to individual garment
Calamaro Can run small
Gavidia Knitted sets - can run small - go up one size if in doubt
Little Nosh

Velour rompers - big
Cotton rompers - small

Please refer to individual garment

Lodarbebe Average
OshKosh Average

The Spanish collection really is stunning, so we hope you find something that catches your eye, and you can now order with confidence.
